On January 15, 2018, The Metropolitan Entertainment Centre was officially designated a National Historic Site by Parks Canada. This honour celebrates the building’s rich legacy and its stunning transformation.
After nearly 20 years of dormancy, Canad Inns acquired The MET in 2007 and began a meticulous restoration – a true labor of love led by Canad Inns Founder and Chair, Leo Ledohowski. With the help of artisans, architects, contractors, and community leaders, this Winnipeg landmark was reborn as a vibrant destination for dining, entertainment, and unforgettable events.
Today, The MET stands as a gift back to the community – a place where history and modern elegance come together.
